The principal objective of the conference was to develop the current business case for investing in corporate health and a participatory corporate culture.

The conference addressed key issues of workplace health, employee participation and corporate culture, which are of predominant significance for the future. Topics included:

• the demographic change and ageing workforces - the effects on labour markets and company human resources policies;
• the impacts of production concepts and work organisation on workplace health;
• successful approaches to integrating health management into leadership development and leadership practices;
• corporate strategies and policies to improve employability and lifestyle patterns;
• developing new balances between flexicurity and security.
